Mrs. G, age 3

As a child, I lived in Scarborough, Ontario, with my parents, 2 older brothers, and 1 older sister. I enjoyed playing the piano and clarinet and also liked playing soccer in the summer. In high school I was a part of the band and choir and also enjoyed playing on a girls flag football team.

I attended Nipissing University in North Bay for my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education.  I enjoyed living up north for five years, where there was lots of snow to build snowmen!

Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, young son and our extended family. I also like going for nature walks, gardening, reading and being creative. I love to travel to places around the world.  So far I’ve been to Ireland, France, England, Belgium, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, various places in the United states, and all over Canada!

My favourite authors are Karen Kingsbury and Jodi Picault.  My favourite children’s authors are Robert Munsch, Stan & Jan Berenstain, David Shannon, Melanie Watt, Barbara Park, Jan Brett, and Laura Joffe Numeroff.
